Authors Read Aloud

I met with Susie Mee and Claire Campbell at Learning Leaders about the Authors Read Aloud program, where authors visit classrooms around the five boroughs to read from their novels, have book talks, and facilitate writing workshops. There are so many other enrichment programs available in NYC schools. What an amazing program!

To get involved, just follow these steps:

Step 1: Register - Fill out the Volunteer Registration Form

Step 2: Interview – Learning Leaders will schedule an initial interview with you to learn more about your background and experiences

Step 3: Training – Attend a one-time training session that provides you with the tools to help students with their school work

Step 4: Placement – Learning Leaders will match and place you in a New York City public school
